Fall Season Update
Wow!!!
What an amazing turnout for the St. John's softball team this weekend. We had 24 new players express interest in joining the team. That's the good news.
The bad news is that we have only 25 slots available for this season. So I'm going to give some thought to the most fair way to get folks on the roster, but be aware that some folks may have to wait until next Spring (the Spring season we'll be back in a regular Church league, where the roster size is not limited).
I will be calling the folks who signed up sometime this week to discuss next steps. I want to thank everyone who came out, and I look forward to a great season of softball.
Season Information:
- The fall season will begin the week of August 25th, 2008. This is a week later than I thought, so if I told you third week, I meant fourth week :-)
- Assuming we get our first choice, we'll play Monday nights. Time TBD.
- The season is 14 games, played 2 double-headers per week. Usually, there's one bye week, so the regular season should be 8 weeks, barring rainouts.
- Makeup games may be scheduled any day, but are usually on weekends.
