   I've just posted the season Schedule and added all the games and current practices to the Eagles Calendar. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Still awaiting word from Loudoun County regarding the Fall season.

They sent out an email extending the registration deadline to August 11th, so it may be that they're hoping to get more teams signed up.

I will post more info on the website, and send out email, when I know more.

Wow!!!

What an amazing turnout for the St. John's softball team this weekend. We had 24 new players express interest in joining the team. That's the good news.

The bad news is that we have only 25 slots available for this season. So I'm going to give some thought to the most fair way to get folks on the roster, but be aware that some folks may have to wait until next Spring (the Spring season we'll be back in a regular Church league, where the roster size is not limited).

I will be calling the folks who signed up sometime this week to discuss next steps. I want to thank everyone who came out, and I look forward to a great season of softball.

Season Information:

• The fall season will begin the week of August 25th, 2008. This is a week later than I thought, so if I told you third week, I meant fourth week :-)
• Assuming we get our first choice, we'll play Monday nights. Time TBD.
• The season is 14 games, played 2 double-headers per week. Usually, there's one bye week, so the regular season should be 8 weeks, barring rainouts.
• Makeup games may be scheduled any day, but are usually on weekends.

Per the playoff bracket, our next playoff game will be Tuesday, July 15th at 6:30pm at Trailside Park, field 3. Please plan to arrive by 6:00pm for warm-ups, and be ready to WIN!

First game, versus Leesburg UMC, will be July 8th at 6:30 PM at Trailside Park field 3.

We've got two more make-up games scheduled, today...Saturday, June 28th, and Tuesday, July 1st.

Also, I've uploaded a bunch of photos from last Tuesday's game against FCFM to the photo gallery. Check them out!

As of 4:05pm, the county reports no blackouts or cancellations, so I'll see everyone at Lovettsville at 6pm!

I've updated the schedule on the website to include the first makeup game on June 24th. No word yet from the county on the second makeup game. I also posted the updated PDF, if you want to print a hard copy.

UPDATE: The makeup game for the week 3 rainout will be on Saturday, May 31st at 11:30am.

OK, Eagles...the weather looks great, and we're on for tonight, May 6th. See you all at Lucketts Park for a 6:45pm game time. Please try to arrive no later than 6:15pm for warm-ups.

Due to poor field conditions, Loudoun County has closed all adult softball fields for April 29th, 2008. So no games tonight, alas.

Next game is May 6th, 2008 at Lucketts Field (where we held our last practice) at 6:45pm against Blue Ridge Bible Church. Please note the time change...all games we play at Lucketts Field start at 6:45pm rather than the usual 6:30pm. Please plan to arrive no later than 6:15pm for warm-ups.

I'll post another update when I know the make-up date for tonight's game. Sorry for the bad news.
